Ok, so, I've got kids on the mind. Several questions about them too.
1. Why do goat kids have to be so dumb? I mean, my neighbor has these goats. One is getting it's head stuck in our wire fence several times a day.
2. Why are humans kids so STUPID? I mean, I look at the kids in my HONORS classes, and I seriously wonder who's in the regular classes? If kids in the Honor's classes are so.... unsmart, what are normal kids like? How smart do you really have to be to be in an honors class nowadays? Sheesh!

Having seen the goat.... I totally understand - not the brightest thing. However, I want to disagree with you about the other kids. It is important in life that you realize everyone around you is different. We each have our own strengths and weaknesses and you shouldn't be so judgmental. I know I have raised you better than that. Don't consider this a lecture....consider it something to think about. I mean how would you feel if you were struggling with a sport or rotc or band and the other kids said this about you. Now, having said that....let me also say I tend to agree with you that the criteria to get in to "honors" classes probably needs to be re-evaluated.

From the outside looking in you might think that the kids in your class are not very smart. You might be right for one or two (doubtful). In reality there are a variety of reasons that the kids act the way they do. For some, that is the way they learn, they ask tons of seemingly stupid questions. It is because they need to know they are right about everything. Others are just plain lazy, not dumb. Some are in those honors classes because their parents are making them be in the class, if they fail then they can get out. Others have learned that if they show the teacher that they understand then the teacher will increase the speed of the class and they will have to do more. Just do yourself a favor, don't fall into the same trap as the others of settling for the least amount of work and don't get arrogent (even if you are smarter than the average honor cookie).
